Cinespace is the name of a European Sixth Framework Programme research project going from 2006 to 2009. Cinespace aims at designing and implementing a mobile rich media collaborative information exchange platform, scalable and accessible through a wide variety of networks and therefore interoperable and location-based for the promotion of urban, film and cultural heritage resources. We are using Protégé in two ways: (AAP)
- To develop an MPEG-7 compliant OWL ontology, mapped with other existing ontologies, as CIDOC Conceptual Reference Model (CIDOC CRM) and International Federation of Information Technology and Travel & Tourism (IFITT). (AAQ)
- To develop an OWL ontology to store and retrieve geo-referenced content, and also any feature, concept, or idea that in a human sense can be associated to a physical location. (AAR)
